What is a pelorus? It's a fixed compass used to take bearings relative to a ship's heading, as well as our quarterly newsletter.
The CCWF Newsletter Committee asks that members keep us in mind and help out whenever possible by submitting items such as:
- News stories or event reminders you believe our members would find of interest
- Cartoons and drawings (from our "youth" artists too
- Favorite California seafood recipes
- From the heart fishing heritage stories
- Poems or short stories
- Member business cards (we'll try to run at least 4 in each edition
- Fundraisers and other events that benefit other members of your family, such as for their schools (this is also important because CCWF may wish to make a donation, as well as providing some free advertising)
- Brief advertisments of items you may wish to sell (although of course we'd prefer you domate them to our rummage sale)
